Lecture about Aulis Jalkanen and ITE (Self-Made Life) art on Wednesday 14.1. 2026 at 18.00-19.30 in the Konsti Hall (accessible).

The ITE-Aulis home museum in Suonenjoki is full of wonders - come and listen to the touching life story of ITE artist Aulis Jalkanen. At the same time, you can learn what ITE art is and why it is worth protecting. The lecturer is ITE-Aulis ry.

The opening of the Magyar exhibition will be celebrated at Konsti on Friday, January 16, 2026, starting at 6 p.m.

The opening ceremony will feature the following program:

Unveiling of a bronze portrait sculpture of Jukka Itkonen, made by sculptor Taru Mäntynen.

Opening speeches will be given by museum director Anna Vepsä, content producer Anniina Kauppinen, and sculptor Taru Mäntynen.

The evening will culminate in a unique performance by Magyar in Konsti. The following will take the stage: Kari Huttunen, electric guitar; Seppo Heikkonen, tenor saxophone; Kari Pietikäinen, drums; Taito Kettunen, bass; Larry Kauppinen, keyboards; Markus Petsalo, vocals and acoustic guitar.
