Puurtila, Pohjoisniemi
The zoning plan amendment concerns the properties 915-10-9903-20, 915-413-2-54 (part) and 915-10-9903-21 (part) in the 10th district of Puurtila. The area is located approximately 2,8 km north-east of the centre of Varkaus, at the tip of the northern bend of Puurtila. The area covered by the plan is approximately 3,3 ha. The area is undeveloped and serves as a local recreation area.
Objectives of the land-use plan
The aim of the land-use plan is to study the location of plots suitable for residential development in the planning area and to determine the traffic arrangements and access routes in the area.
Launch and participation and assessment plan
The stages of the plan and the opportunities for participation in the preparation of the plan are set out in the participation and assessment plan (OAS) (§ 63 of the Land Use and Building Act). The participation and assessment plan will be open to the public from 4 August 2021. You can view the plans online at www.varkaus.fi/kaavoituskatsaus or at the Technical Department's showroom (Ahlströminkatu 6) during the opening hours of the Town Hall (weekdays 9.00-15.00). Any contacts should be made preferably by e-mail or telephone, and any meetings should be arranged in advance. The OAS will be open to the public until the draft plan is published.
Interested parties may submit comments on the contents of the plan by e-mail to varkauden.kaupunki@varkaus.fi or by post to the City of Varkaus, Technical Department, Registry Office, P.O. Box 208, 78201 VARKAUS.
Preparatory stage
The draft zoning plan was open for public inspection from 7.12.2021 to 9.1.2022 (Land Use and Building Decree 30 §) and the updated OAS is open for public inspection from 7.12.2021.
In spring 2022, an archaeological survey of the planning area was carried out and a nature survey was completed.
Proposal stage
A decision will be taken at a later stage on the publication of the draft plan.
