Children's factory
The Children's Factory Lasten Tehdas is a functional exhibition for children, showcasing Varkaus industry.
The Children's Factory introduces children and playful children to Varkaus' historical and modern industry. The spaces, designed with children and families in mind and encouraging creative play, offer multi-sensory experiences and encourage enthusiasm, animation and the development of motor skills.
Play can be done alone or together, and for adults, the often-constant goings-on - rubbing, hanging, buzzing, hissing, giggling, jumping, frolicking and scampering - are all absolutely allowed!
Connected to the Children's Factory is the more exciting Krankin Älypaja Workshop in the museum's multifunctional space. Designed especially for groups, the Brain Workshop is a space of rigorous exploration and flighty experimentation, where wits are rattled with quizzical puzzles and nuts. A variety of guided workshops will take place in the workshop, where you can learn about paper production and engineering lessons, among other things. Realisation and awe-inspiring experiences - that's what the Smart Workshop is all about!
The Children's Factory has been designed with interior and space solutions especially for families with children and groups from kindergartens and schools to make it a pleasant and desirable place to visit and spend time.
