Notices and permits issued by the building control

Any appeal against the decision must be made in writing within 30 days of notification of the decision.

The decision shall be deemed to have been notified to the person concerned on the seventh day following the date of publication of the notice.

The complaint should be sent preferably by e-mail to rakennusvalvonta@varkaus.fi. If sent by post, it must be submitted in time to reach the addressee by 15.00 on the last day of the period for lodging appeals before the office closes.

Annexes to the decision can be requested by e-mail from the Building Control Office.

The complete public list of the Building Inspector's permit decisions is available on the official notice board at City Hall, A-Porter, 1st floor, during City Hall opening hours from 9.00 to 15.00.

Anyone who is dissatisfied with the decision has the right to have the matter referred to the Technical Committee's Licensing Division. The period for lodging an appeal is 14 days from the date of the decision, excluding the present day.

Renewal of the building regulations

The revision of the town and country planning regulations has reached the proposal stage. The proposal will be open for consultation from 19 September 2025 to 21 October 2025. Interested parties will have the opportunity to submit written comments on the draft during the period of public access to the draft order.
